On 4 September 2014, the School of Business hosted a delegation of five officials from Bhutan's Royal Institute of Management (RIM) that was led by Mr Karma Tshering, Director General of RIM and Mr Dhanapati Mishra, Head/Assistant Professor, Department of Management Development. The meeting was hosted by Associate Professor Lee Pui Mun, Dean of the School of Business (SBIZ), who gave a presentation on SIM University, the School of Business and its various programmes. This was followed by another presentation by Associate Professor Tan Yan Weng who provided an overview of the BSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme. Various faculty members of the School of Business were also present at the meeting with the Bhutanese delegation. Both sides exchanged views about the business education landscape in Singapore and Bhutan with a focus on exploring future collaboration in the areas of logistics and supply chain management and possible teaching assignments at RIM for SBIZ faculty. The meeting ended with an exchange of mementos and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion. The School of Business's Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme will be leading a Student Study Mission to RIM, Bhutan in December 2014.
